In the spirit of giving, the Compton Airport Users Group (in partnership with the Compton Fire Department) is once again coordinating the airport's annual "Joy Drive" for Christmas. Though December 20th, a "Joy Box" in the airport terminal building will be the staging area for another collection to add to the city fire department's "Spark of Love" Christmas Campaign.
All are invited to contribute donations of unwrapped toys for kids of all ages! Airport tenant friends, families, as well as surrounding organizations and businesses are invited to add to the contribution.
100% of the toys collected will be physically delivered by the Fire Department to underprivileged kids living right here in neighborhoods throughout the city of Compton.
Donors should register and leave their gifts at the airport collection point inside the airport manager's office located at the main terminal building. The terminal building is the small white building trimmed in blue at the main gate with Compton/Woodley Airport - County of Los Angeles written on it (directly next to two large flag poles.)
In advance, gratitude is extended to all contributors - as well as past organizations, individual donors, and airport interests who have been making this initiative a growing success! We hope to continue getting support for this worthy cause.
The address of the airport is 901 West Alondra Blvd. in the city of Compton. Drop-off arrangements can be made in advance by emailing
