Joy Drive

In the spirit of giving, the Compton Airport Users Group (in partnership with the Compton Fire Department) is hosting a "Joy Drive" from now until December 11th.  We are asking for donations of unwrapped toys for children of any age from the community at large, which will be collected and presented at our gift exchange.  The gift exchange will occur the last day of the drive - December 11th, which is the same day as the airport's annual "Holiday Potluck."   Our goal is to add a little joy to the lives of as many underprivileged kids possible.  We're inviting you to help make a small difference to a few of these young people!

The collection of toys will be added to the Fire Department's larger toy drive, where they will be physically carried to those living in neighborhoods throughout the city to ensure they reach the ones who need them most.  This year, the airport is shooting to collect the highest number of toys ever as an airport community, and hoping to be the Fire Department's #1 collection point partner.

Gifts are being collected on site at the airport.  Donors from the general public who are interested in participating in the drive should leave gifts with the airport manager inside the main terminal building (the small white building with Compton/Woodley Airport - County of Los Angeles written and trimmed in blue) directly behind the two large flag poles.

The address of the airport is 901 West Alondra Blvd. in the city of Compton.   Donors can make drop-off arrangements by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots.
